  • Dr. Ahmad Al-Dabbas is a psychiatrist who works in the area of treating psychological and mental health disorders by providing consultations and following up sessions in his private clinic in Amman. Dr. Ahmad believes that mental wellbeing is a basic necessity for everyone, but the lack of sufficient knowledge about the nature of mental health disorders and their treatments limits people’s ability to turn to psychiatry when psychological symptoms appear.


    Dr. Ahmad Al-Dabbas graduated from Mutah University in Jordan in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery, after which he worked in the Royal Jordanian Medical Services for a year as an intern doctor. He began his professional career in psychiatry as a doctor at Al-Rashid Hospital Center for 4 years, where he supervised patients inside the hospital and in the outpatient clinics, working as a member of a specialized psychiatric team. During his work and training there, he was appointed to the position of Chief Resident Physician.


    After finishing his training and becoming a licensed psychiatrists in Jordan, Dr. Ahmad passed the psychiatry qualification exams in UK and became a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists, which makes him distinguished in his knowledge and clinic practice on an international level.


    Dr. Ahmad Al-Dabbas treats all mental health disorders that affect adults, children and the elderly by conducting a detailed assessment of the condition and providing an accurate diagnosis, prescribing appropriate drug treatments to the cases that need it and/or referring them to psychological treatment specialists in his clinic to start psychotherapy sessions such as cognitive behavioral therapy.


    One of Dr. Ahmad’s interests is spreading awareness in society about psychiatry and the importance of mental health by preparing scientific content, whether written articles or educational videos, and by being hosted on social media platforms, radio and television channels, and in universities to talk about matters related to psychiatry.
